Recruitment in the Army is broad based. Every Indian citizen, irrespective of caste, class, religion and domicile, is eligible for recruitment into the Army. The only requirement is that he meets the laid down age, educational, physical and medical standards.Recruitment in the Army is carried out by Army Recruiting Offices carrying each district under its jurisdiction at least once a year. The Recruitment programme is published in local newspapers, and also publicized through other media, preferably one month prior to the conduct of the rally by the concerned Army Recruiting Offices. For the Officers level entry in Army there are different ways of entry at different age group, different educational qualifications.
(1) National Defence Academy (NDA)
This Officers entry is controlled by UPSC. It consists of written examination conducted by the UPSC followed by the SSB interview, medical test and final preparation of merit. The appointment letters for NDA are issued by Authorities. We AACHARYA ACADEMY start the preparation immediately after 10th exam is over, as students can appear for NDA Entrance Test at the beginning of 12 th and join NDA after 12th certification. The minimum educational qualification for appointment to this special list of Junior Commissioned Officers (Religious Teacher) will be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Hindu candidates with Acharya in Sanskrit (OR) Shastri in Sanskrit with one-year diploma in ‘KaramKand’. ii) Granthi.
